What an awesome idea!!! For one it would be easier to model in Maya a block geometric robot then model a realistic Ken doll, and two it removes the racist angle of the animation. Instead of having a black and a white man fight it out in the boxing ring, which i was still uneasy about, we can have a red and a blue robot, which still intimates a different but does not have the sensitivities that that our original black and white divide has.
I took the liberty of purchasing some from amazon (seeing as i have been assigned to create and animate this scene), and they arrived today!!! so exciting!!!!
Kat and Holly decided to hold a championship- all in the name of research obviously :)
And i do intend you use this live action footage as reference for there arm and body motion.
